United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley will invest in critical emergency services in the areas of disaster, housing, safety-related services and food access. We recognize that the high poverty rate in the Mahoning Valley and Youngstown area contributes to the need for emergency services, but we also realize that any individual or family may be susceptible to a crisis at any point, regardless of their income. Our United Way wants to make sure there is a line of support for these situations.
The United Way will invest in non-profit agencies that respond to the community's needs through:
1. Disaster Response and Relief
2. Emergency Housing
3. Services to Address Abuse and Sexual Violence
4. Food Access
