United Way Invests More than $2.3 Million Back into the Community

In May of 2016, the United Way Board of Directors approved the funding for the 2016-2018 cycle. The actual application process started on October 1, 2015, as the United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley opened its funding process to any non-profit organization delivering Education and Emergency services in Mahoning County and in Girard, Liberty and Hubbard in Trumbull County. Non-profit organizations who wished to apply for funding, used the following documents as guidelines to apply for 2016-2018 funding. Any agencies with programs not currently receiving funding who wished to apply also submitted a Letter of Intent or LOI.
The Letter of Intent must not exceed 2 pages and should include:
• Agency Contact Information
• Organization description
• Statement of Need
• Proposed Program
• Other Funding Sources
