United Way VITA Program Announces Temporary Closure in Response to COVID-19

The United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley is announcing closure of all Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA) sites in response to Coronavirus (COVID-19). In alignment with recommendations from the city, county and state health officials, the following schedule and procedure changes are being implemented:

VITA appointments at the following locations are cancelled until further notice:

YSU Williamson College of Business 21 N. Hazel Youngstown OH 44555
Compass Family and Community Services 535 Marmion Ave Youngstown OH 44502
Zion Lutheran Church 3300 Canfield Rd. Youngstown, OH 44511
MYCAP 1325 Fifth Avenue, Youngstown, OH 44504
Oak Hill Collaborative 507 Oak Hill, Youngstown, OH 44502

All Library VITA Sites are closed until further notice:
Sebring Library 195 W. Ohio Ave. North Jackson; Saturdays 9:30-3:30
Tri-Lakes Library 13820 Mahoning Ave. N. Jackson; Mondays 12:30-3:30, Wednesdays 1:30-4:30
Boardman Library 7680 Glenwood Ave. Boardman; Tuesdays and Wednesdays 9am-12:30pm

Clients affected by these closures will be contacted.
United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley is working with all VITA Program partners to find ways to continue service as quickly as possible. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
